ST. VALENTINE’S CEMETERY FIXING AND CLEANING AFTER HEAVY STORM

On Wednesday, June 3, storms over Philadelphia seriously damaged parish cemetery. Many tombstones and monuments were damaged by fallen trees and branches.

On Thursday and Friday we were able to remove a lot of broken branches and one tree from the cemetery area. On Saturday for the big cleaning project, only two parishioners (Leon and Joyce) showed up to help, but many volunteers from St. John Cantius RC Parish came to help us. Thank you Monika, Ewa, Ela, Ania, Iza and your husbands and sons for helping. Thank you Patrik’s friends, Matus and Vlad as well.

Thank you Anna, the owner of the Polish Deli POLMART located on Port Richmond for sponsoring the lunch for volunteers.

We were able to fix all the tombstones and lined them up. Cemetery is all clean. One tree needs to be cut off immediately because it is very dangerous and many graves can be destroyed completely when it falls down. We need your financial help for this project.
